Minimum disruption
AIDRA works on the principle of minimum disruption, which reduces the amount of change to each team's allocated space each day, so teams are provided with continuity and familiarity when they're in the office.
With minimum disruption, AIDRA will achieve the best solution possible, and move the minimum number of people. Several factors impact this:
How much space other teams in that area/on that floor need on that day
Where each team has been historically located (which also considers anchor/gravity points)
Links with connected teams (please note that superlinks are stronger than standard links therefore weighted heavier - so teams that have standard links with other teams on the floor are more likely to move than those with superlinks)
What space is available in other locations with minimum disruption to other teams in that location
Generally, teams will be kept in the same zone/area. If there is less demand for space a team is likely to be in approximately the same space each time ie, on Friday teams are generally in the same place each week as there are fewer people in the office. If a team is moved to another floor, AIDRA will select the floor closest to the team's usual floor, that has space and will disrupt the fewest people.
As AIDRA moves the minimum number of people, smaller teams may experience more disruption than larger teams.
