Contingency

To account for unexpected employees in the office on the day, a contingency can be added to the amount of space allocated for each team by AIDRA.

Contingency is set as a percentage and is applied per building. The minimum contingency amount is 1, which is only applied if the amount of space forecasted and allocated to each team by AIDRA does not exceed the total headcount of the team.

Example A:

Team A has 20 employees who are forecasted to be in the office on Tuesday. The contingency for the building is set at 10% and the team has a headcount of 25. AIDRA will allocate 22 spaces for Team A on Tuesday.

Example B:

Team B has 5 employees which are forecasted to be in the office on Thursday. The contingency for the building is set at 10% and the team has a headcount of 5. AIDRA will allocate 5 spaces for Team B on Thursday.

Configurations:

  • The default for contingency is 10% (we recommend this to start)

  • If there are large teams, we would recommend a lower contingency otherwise AIDRA may over-allocate a significant amount of space.
